Happy Halloween!

As usual, the day before Halloween is always an exciting one. Many can't concentrate at school or work and look forward to the festivities that will be happening the next day. One way you can celebrate Halloween is by visiting your local comic book shop and get free comics Halloween themed comics. Every October 31st, comic book shop that participates in Halloween ComicFest offers many cool comics from different publishers. Some stores even have signings or artist to come do commissions along with people dressed up as superheroes, Star Wars characters, etc. It's a very fun day for family and friends to enjoy and to support your local comic store.
Some of the comic that were given away included:

Fragments of Horror by Junji Ito from publisher, Viz Media

STK683500 Image
Donald Duck's Haloween Scream! by William Van Horn and Dan Noonan from IDW Publishing. This would be a great book for kids to get.

STK683679 Image
Grimm Tales of Terror from Zenescope Entertainment INC

STK682503 Image
Vampblade featuring Zombie Tramp written by Jason Martin and Dan Mendoza and art by Winston Young published by Action Lab- Danger Zone. This is probably one that I wouldn't recommend for kids to get but there are definitely a lot of comics for people to choose from for all ages.

Also happening this weekend is Stan Lee's Comikaze in Los Angeles. It's another con that happens every year and is hosted by the one and only Stan "the Man" Lee. If you ever want to meet Mr. Stan Lee, you have a great chance at doing that by going to his con. A lot of cool guests will be there including Grant Morrison and Carrie Fisher. The expo started today and will end on Sunday. We might get so cool news from the expo but not really likely since it's not on the same level as San Diego comic con or New York comic con but still a great weekend for those attending.
